Information Literacy in the Web 2.0 Age
This wiki is set up mainly as a tool for students of Reseach Skills courses at any level. Students (and professors) are expected to participate, writing and editing articles on the topic of Web 2.0 and Internet based tools, resources and services for finding, handling and properly using information. Content of the wiki is focused on tools offered by the Web 2.0, as well as on all kinds of basic concepts related to information storage, processing, management, retrieval, evaluation and usage. It also aims at being about online collaboration and social interaction as a means for information transfer using Internet as main communication channel, and to the ethical use of retrieved information (which includes procedures and tools for citing sources). The Wiki also may provide information on the methodology of using Web 2.0 tools for teaching in general and especially for teaching Introductory Research Skills. The main intended audience is that of university students and their professors, however, senior high school students as well as anybody interested in this subject area may find it useful.
